Why repeated exports can contain the same listing
Zillow results can change order between visits, and the same property may appear in overlapping searches. Exporting another page or repeating a search therefore does not guarantee a new set of properties.
PropertyDataLabs can skip listings that the extension exported recently. Duplicate prevention requires Basic or higher. On Free, export your CSV and use your spreadsheet's duplicate-removal feature when combining files.
Enable duplicate prevention
- Open a Zillow results page and sign the extension in to your PropertyDataLabs account.
- Select Settings in the extension dock.
- Open Export workflow → Duplicate prevention.
- Enable duplicate prevention and choose a lookback period: hour, day, week, or month.
- Return to the search and start a Page or All export.
The extension checks listings against its recent export history and skips matching properties within the selected period. For example, choose day to skip properties exported within the previous 24 hours. Choose the period that matches your collection schedule; a longer period can exclude properties you wanted to revisit.
This filter uses extension export history. It does not scan all of your existing spreadsheets, merge downloaded files, or remove rows from files you already have.
Understand a smaller export
When duplicate prevention is enabled, the downloaded file may contain fewer rows than the Zillow page shows. Previously exported properties can be skipped even though they remain visible in the search results.
If you need a fresh snapshot containing those properties again, disable duplicate prevention before the next export. You can leave your history in place and enable the setting again later. For changes that should persist across exports, review the current Duplicate prevention reference.
Reset export history when you need to start over
In Duplicate prevention, select Reset export history and review the confirmation before proceeding. Resetting removes the detection records used to identify recently exported listings, so future exports can treat those listings as new.
This action does not delete downloaded CSV, Excel, or ZIP files, and does not remove data already delivered to Google Sheets. Existing files still need their own duplicate checks if you combine them.
When checking your result, compare property identifiers or listing URLs where available rather than relying only on display addresses. For the wider export workflow, see Export your first page and Export all pages.
