Introduction
Zillow Data Exporter is a free tool that allows you to export property data from Zillow.
Version 3.0.4 corrects sold-property timing fields, makes Advanced timing fields more precise, clarifies Cloud job setup, and adds a searchable Help Center to the extension.
Sold-property export fields
Zillow's sold-search data does not provide a reliable listing date. The value previously exported as Number of days on Zillow can also represent elapsed time since the reported sale rather than the property's time on the market. Using it to calculate Date listed could therefore produce a much earlier, incorrect date.
Starting with version 3.0.4:
- Date listed and Number of days on Zillow are left blank in extension, Basic Cloud, and Advanced Cloud sold exports.
- Both fields are marked TBR (to be removed) in sold-field selectors and will be removed in a future release. You can read more about exported field statuses.
- Advanced sold exports now provide Latest listing date and Latest listing-to-sale period (days) when suitable price-history events are available.
- The Sold date field is unchanged.
If Remove empty columns is enabled, the two deprecated columns are omitted from the exported file. Existing templates remain compatible.
Previously exported values in these two columns should not be treated as the latest listing date or the property's days on market.
Advanced for-sale exports also use clearer names: Current listing date and Current listing period (days). These labels distinguish an active listing from the latest listing period before a completed sale.
Clearer Cloud job setup
When you create or edit a Cloud job from the extension, the review step now summarizes the Zillow search URL in plain language. It shows:
- The location and selected property type.
- The page where the job will start.
- Whether the job will export only that page or all remaining pages.
- Supported price, bedroom, bathroom, and keyword filters when they can be read from the URL.
- The schedule and estimated credit usage for each run.
For example, if the Zillow URL starts on page 6, the review now says Page 6 and explains that an all-pages job continues from page 6 rather than starting again from page 1.
Search URLs are also checked more consistently before the job is saved. The form provides clearer guidance for unsupported URLs, including Zillow homepages, individual property pages, saved-property pages, and non-Zillow URLs.
The review only displays URL details it can identify reliably. Listing availability is still checked when the Cloud job runs, so Zillow searches with no current results can still produce an empty run.
Search help articles from the extension
The extension Dashboard now includes a Help Center page. You can search guides about exports, Cloud jobs, billing, and troubleshooting without first navigating through the website.
Selecting a result opens the complete article on PropertyDataLabs in a new tab. The page also provides direct links to the full Help Center and the existing contact form when you need further assistance.
The article list is loaded from the current PropertyDataLabs documentation, so new and updated guides can appear without another extension update.
Install
The extension is available for free on the Chrome Web Store.
The update should be applied automatically, but you can also manually update the extension by following the update guide.
