# Learn how to remove empty columns from your exported files

## Introduction

The latest release of the extension **0.0.18** added a new feature to remove the empty columns from your exported files. This feature is really useful because it allows you to get only the data you need and remove the clutter.

Sometimes, not all the columns are filled with data. For example, if you are exporting the **MLS ID** data, the **MLS ID** column will be empty for the listings that do not have a **MLS ID**.

In this case, if you decide to remove the empty columns from your exported files and the **MLS ID** column is empty for all the listings, then the **MLS ID** column will be removed from your exported files automatically.

On the **Free** plan, you cannot export more than **40 listings per file** and you cannot remove the empty columns from your exported files. If you want to export more than **40 listings per file** or if you want to **remove the empty columns** from your exported files automatically, you need to upgrade to the **Basic** plan.

## Remove the empty columns from your exported files

To remove the empty columns from your exported files, you need to go to the **Export Settings** in the extension popup and click the **Remove empty columns** checkbox.

Then you need to save your changes.

And that's it! Now, when you export your data, the empty columns will be removed automatically from your exported files.
